Ākina is proud to be certified Climate Positive Business Operations with social enterprise Ekos. We have measured and offset 120% of our carbon footprint with certified carbon credits for 1 Jul 2022 - 30 Jun 2023.
Total emissions = 59.67 tCO2e
Total offsets = 72 tCO2e (120%)
(tCO2e means tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent)
Our certified carbon credits are sourced from projects that grow and protect forests in the Pacific Islands and help to deliver climate resilience, waterways protection, erosion control, biodiversity conservation and community economic development.
